In general, B-Homecare accepts all major forms of payment methods, to include credit cards, checks, and any insurance that provides long term care coverage.

"Unskilled” or “Non-medical” care typically refers to companion and personal care activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, as well as assistance with meal preparation, light housekeeping, and running errands. It could also include medication reminders, assistance with ambulation, and transportation to medical appointments. These types of services are typically provided by Home Health Aides (HHAs) or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and can be arranged for anywhere from a few hours to 24-hours a day. “Unskilled” or “Non-medical” care is often sought for the elderly home care, new and expectant parents, individuals with disabilities, and those transitioning from a hospital or medical facility to home.
“Skilled” medical care follows a specific plan of care under the supervision of a Physician, Nurse (RN/LPN/LVN), or Therapist, and involves home healthcare services such as nursing care, physical, occupational, speech, and respiratory therapies, as well as social services and hospice care. B-Homecare currently does not offer skilled medical care.

Companion care services focus on providing elderly home care and persons with disabilities in Hawaii with a friend and companionship but includes the following assistance as well to help them remain independent:
• Helping start and end the day (getting out of and into bed, dressing)
• Reminder services (medications, dates, routines, etc.)

• Preparing meals and feeding

All of our caregivers are mostly certified nurse assistants or some carry a nurse assistant certificate from a state accredited nurse aide school which provides about 110 hrs. of home care aide training. The only difference between a nurse aide and a certified nurse aide is that the certified nurse aides have taken a state exam which is the same exam schools administer in order to qualify for a certificate for the training: therefore nurse aides are equally qualified in regards to training just like our nurse aides.

We work with every family to develop an individualized plan of care which incorporates our companion care services because we understand that every individuals needs are different.
